The Wonderful Name of Jesus

Preached at Liberty 4/12/16

The past year I have spoken quite a bit about Jesus but today will be no exception!

And today I think I have a really powerful messages but I’m not sure I have what it takes to do justice to the message so let’s ask God to help.

Father, in the name of your Son Jesus, I pray that you will come and take these words of mine and give life to them, give power to them so that they will encourage, help, build, strengthen and bless all who hear these words. Give a revelation to each person here that will help them and set them free. That the name of Jesus Christ may be glorified here today. Amen

My message today is about the name of Jesus

Warning

Before I begin though, I must give you a warning. When you use the name of Jesus, it can get you into trouble.  There will be opposition.  The devil will try to stop you using that name.

We often hear Christians complaining about the rules and regulations that are being implemented to stop us talking about Jesus in public, in schools, at work, in hospitals etc. but we should not be surprised.  Jesus told us this would happen.  It happened in the past and it will happen in the future.

Matthew 10:22 (NKJV)
22  And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:9 (NKJV)
9  Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.

After Peter had healed the man who had been lame from birth, the disciples were brought before the council

Acts 4:15-19 (NKJV)
15  But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
16  saying, "What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.
17  But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name."
18  And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

The council saw what had happened when Peter spoke the name of Jesus, they saw the crippled man was healed, they knew a miracle had taken place and yet they decided to protect their own little empire and try to stop people preaching the name of Jesus.

In Acts 5 they were again brought before the council and told not to speak in the name of Jesus.

Later, Paul was persecuted after using the name of Jesus to cast out a demon;

Acts 16:20-24 (NKJV)
20  And they brought them to the magistrates, and said, "These men, being Jews, exceedingly trouble our city;
21  and they teach customs which are not lawful for us, being Romans, to receive or observe."
22  Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods.
23  And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.
24  Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.

So the opposition we are seeing today is nothing new.  We have to expect it. Jesus told us it would happen.

And remember, it is not us they are attacking but Jesus Himself.  When Jesus appeared to Saul who had been persecuting the early church Jesus told Saul 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.'   He was persecuting Jesus not the church.

Another thing you must be aware of.

The Bible says in the 10 commandments that we are not to take the name of the Lord in vain. Ex 20.7

·      When we pray in the name of Jesus without faith in that name, then we are guilty of taking the name of the Lord in vain.

·      When we use the name of the Lord to curse somebody we are taking the name of the Lord in vain

·      When we lie in His name, we are taking the name of the Lord in vain.

I have to confess there have been times when I have prayed in the name of Jesus without faith because that’s how you pray and therefore I am guilty of taking His name in vain.

Having said all that, we have to remember that we do have the right to use that name and when we do, it is mighty powerful.

It’s not all bad news though Matthew 19:29 says

29  And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.

What you’ll do with 100 wives I do not know!

Unfortunately, Marks version of this story says you’ll receive 100fold with persecutions.  So perhaps we’ll forget that idea!

What’s so special about the name of Jesus?

What is it about the name of Jesus that is so important?

When you use the name of Jesus, it initiates the fullness of the power of Christ as if He were here Himself.

E.W. Kenyon said that God has given Him the name that has within it the fullness of the Godhead, the wealth of the eternities and the love of the heart of the Father God.

His name is greater than any other name.  It is far above the names of diseases, demons, fear, worries, problems, principalities, power and might and dominions - in fact anything that has a name.  If you can name it, the name of Jesus is greater.

Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)
 9  Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
10  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This means that every being, every thing in Heaven and on Earth has to obey the name of Jesus, including sickness, poverty, weather, pain, fear.  And everything beneath the earth has to obey including Satan and every evil spirit.

After He was resurrected, Jesus said in

Matthew 28:18 "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

When we use the name of Jesus we are speaking with that authority that is to say all the authority in heaven and on earth.  That is why it is such a powerful thing for us to do.

When we pray in the name of Jesus, we pray with all the authority and power as if Jesus was praying Himself.

We pray for people here, but how many of you would rather have Jesus pray for you.  Well, when you pray in His name it is as if He was praying for you Himself.

When we lay hands on you in the name of Jesus, it is as if Jesus was laying hands on you Himself.

Gather in His name

When we gather together in His name, He promises that He will be there with us.  It’s not just when we come to church but wherever 2 or 3 are gathered in His name.  That can be your home, at work, at the shopping centre, in the car or wherever you are.  And He says;

Matthew 18:18-20 (NKJV)
18  Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19  Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.
20  For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

When we come together in His name He is with us.  Even if it feels that He isn’t there.  His said He would be here so He must be here.

So when we gather in His name, whatever we allow on Earth or whatever we prohibit on Earth will be allowed or prohibited in Heaven because, He is here with us.

And when we gather in His name whatever we agree to will be done because He is here with us.

So when we come together, it is important to come in His name.

Power

Jesus is the most powerful name on the planet, in fact it’s the most powerful name in the heavens and the most powerful name on earth and the most powerful name beneath the earth.

The name represents all the power and authority of the person who has that name.

When a police officer stops you in the name of the law, he is operating with all the power, authority and force of the law behind him.

When you pray in the name of Jesus you pray with all the power, authority and force of the person who holds that name.

When we call on the name of Jesus, we are calling not just in His name but on the very person of Jesus and everything that He was and is.

When we call on the name of Jesus we are calling on the very power of Jesus Himself.

We have been given the right to use the name of Jesus and therefore we have the right to call on the power of Jesus.

John 1 tells us that

John 1:1-4 (NKJV)
1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2  He was in the beginning with God.
3  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4  In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.

In verse 14 we find the Word is identified as Jesus.

John  tells us that God created the heavens and the earth through Jesus.

So when we call upon the name of Jesus, we are calling on the same power that created the heavens and the earth.

·      The same power that raised Lazarus from the dead.

·      The same power that cast out a legion of demons to the man of the Gadarenes.

·      The same power that stilled the waters and calmed the storm.

·      The same power that turned water into wine.

·      The same power that went to the cross, went to Hell and defeated Satan,

·       and the same power that rose from the dead just three days later.

·      The name of Jesus is powerful because it is the name of God.

·      It is powerful because of the cross.

·      It is powerful because of the blood that was shed.

·      It is powerful because all authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him.

·      It is powerful because God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

And when we pray in His name we are invoking all that power This is why miracles can happen, legs grow, dead raised and diseased bodies become healed with no sign left of the disease.

As Christians can use the name

As Christians, we have been authorised to use the name of Jesus.

A lawyer said that it was like being given the power of attorney.  What we say in His name is the same as if He said it.  He is responsible for what we say in His name.

·      We have the right to use His name because we are His ambassadors or representatives on this planet.

·      We have the right to use His name because we are His children, members of the family of God.

·      We have the right to use His name because we have been baptised into His name.

·      We have the right to use His name because He told us to use His name;

John 16:23 (NKJV)
And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

John 14:14 (NKJV)
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

Why did He tell us to ask in His name?

John 14:13 (NKJV)
13  And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

John 16:24 (NKJV)
Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

Jesus always wants the Father to be glorified and He wants our joy to be full.

Ezekiel says God watches over His word to perform it and Isaiah says His word will not return void but will accomplish and prosper in the thing God sent it to achieve. So if you use His word to pray in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, He will watch over that word to make sure it happens.

[1]A family was driving down the freeway when a passing truck jack-knifed, the truck was about to wipe them out and also a parked police car nearby.  They didn’t have time to pray, just called out the name of Jesus, the truck straightened and passed everyone without hitting anyone.

When you have nothing else to say, just say the name of Jesus.

But if you don’t believe in Jesus , you don’t have that right and  you may get into trouble as some exorcists did;

Acts 19:13-16 (NKJV)
13  Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches."
14  Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
15  And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?"
16  Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Notice they said in the “name of Jesus whom Paul preaches”.  They were trying to hang onto Pauls faith but didn’t have the faith themselves.

Salvation in the name

There is salvation in the name of Jesus.

His name was not given by man, not Mary nor Joseph but it was given by God Himself.

In Matthew 1:18-25 Joseph was thinking about what he should do with Mary becoming pregnant and it says…..

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

Names have a meaning  Abram was renamed Abraham as a prophetic message from God that he was to become the father of many nations.

The name given by the angel of God was not just a name but it was a prophetic word from God.  The name Yeshua or Jesus means “Jehovah saves” and that is what He is all about.

·      When Joseph called His name Jesus he was prophesying that God saves.

·      Everytime we call the name Jesus we are saying “God saves”.

·      Every time you mention the name of Jesus to someone, you are preaching the gospel.

What I like is that everytime an unbeliever swears using the name Jesus, they are saying “God saves”. I know it says you shouldn't blaspheme but I just smile hoping that one day Jesus will answer them!

·      The prophet Joel said that “whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved”

·      Peter said in Acts 2 “whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.”

·      Paul said in Romans 10:13For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."

John said in

1 John 5:13 (NKJV)
13  These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

And again Peter said in

Acts 4:12 (NKJV)
12  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

So that’s Luke, Paul, Joel, John and Peter who all agree that we are saved in the name of Jesus.

John said in

John 1:12 (NKJV)
12  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

And in

John 3:18 (NKJV)
18  He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Praise the Lord, there is salvation in the name of Jesus.

Forgiveness of Sin in the name

We have salvation in the name of Jesus and we have we have forgiveness of sins

1 John 2:12 (NKJV)
12  I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.

Acts 10:43 (NKJV)
43  To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins."

After He was resurrected, Jesus said to His disciples

Luke 24:46-47 (NKJV)
….. "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
47  and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

The devil will try to tell you that you are a sinner but we have it in writing, our sins have been forgiven and we have been justified in the name of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 6:11 (NKJV)
…. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Our sins are forgiven, we are justified and justified in the name of Jesus.

And we are made righteous not because of what we have done but by what Jesus did;

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)
21  For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Healed and set free in His name

The areas we are probably more familiar with using the name of Jesus is that of healing and casting out demons.

According to Cyrus Scofield who wrote Scofields annotated Bible in the early 1900’s, he says that the word salvation also has equal meanings of healing, and deliverance.

So when we talk about salvation we are talking about healing and deliverance too.

When Peter says in Acts 4 there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, it could also say there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be healed or there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be delivered

As David says in psalms;

Psalm 103:1-3 (NKJV)
Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

Forgiveness, Healing, deliverance and salvation are a package deal.  They come together.  If we have salvation then we also are entitled to have the rest.

People are healed and set free in the name of Jesus.

In Mark 16 it specifically tells us – the Christians of today, not just the first apostles, not just professional ministers but “those who believe”.  It says we are to heal and cast out demons in the name of Jesus.

Mark 16:17-18 (NKJV)
17  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

We cast out demons in the name of Jesus and when we do, they have to obey.

In Acts 16, the apostle Paul got annoyed and cast out a spirit in the name of Jesus;;

Acts 16:18 (NKJV)
…. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out that very hour.

Isn’t it time we got annoyed with evil spirits?

And in James it says that we are to pray for the sick and anoint them with oil in the name of Jesus.

James 5:14 (NKJV)
14  Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

[2]Smith Wigglesworth was called to pray for a man who was dying from tuberculosis.  He took 7 believers with him and they held hands.  They did not pray.  They just said the name Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  5 times the power of God fell and then lifted.  The man was led to repent of  his sin of bitterness and grieving the Holy Spirit.  Then they started saying the name of Jesus again.  The power of God fell another time and this time it stayed, the bed shook and the man was healed.  He got off his death bed, got dressed and went downstairs to join the family.  Many other people heard what happened and came to the Lord.

That’s the great thing about healing and deliverance.  Other people get to know about it and it attracts them to Jesus.

Healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus are all part of our salvation package.

Sickness and disease and evil spirits have to obey when we use the name of Jesus.  They have no choice.

[3]In Portugal in 1432, a terrible unstoppable and devastating plague was killing people all over the country.  It was worst in Lisbon, people were dropping down dead - be it in the street, the market, the church or their homes. The plague claimed its victims so rapidly that many of the dead were just left lying in the streets.

A priest preached a message on the power of the name of Jesus then called on the church to stand and just call out the name of Jesus.  The plague suddenly stopped, sick people were healed and got up straight after being prayed for.

And the miracles did not end there - for the news spread even faster than the plague. Before long, throughout all of Portugal, people turned to Jesus, calling upon His powerful Name.

Holy Spirit in the name

Not only are we saved in His name, forgiven in His name, justified in His name healed in His name but receive the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus;

John 14:26 (KJV)
26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

And of course, we have already read that in Mark 16 it says we will speak with new tongues in the name of Jesus.

We need to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us, to reveal the scriptures to us, to show us God’s will, to guide us, to comfort us, to strengthen us, to counsel us  so that we are able to do what God has called us to do.

When we have the Holy Spirit in us as the apostle John says;

1 John 4:4 (NKJV)
4  You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Faith in the name

All this sounds easy doesn’t it?   Just say the name of Jesus and all your problems will go away!

It is the power of Jesus that makes His name so powerful.

But it is faith that makes it effective in our lives today.

The Bible tells us to pray in His name but we have to pray in faith, believing when we pray that we have what we are requesting.  Mark 11.24

You have to believe that whatever we ask in His name, God has given us.

You have to have be a Christian, you have to have faith in His name but you don’t have to be anyone special.

Acts 4:13 says

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled.”

The word translated ‘untrained’ is the Greek word ‘ideotes’ from which we get the word idiot.

They weren’t special people they were just ordinary unlearned people but the name of Jesus is special and it is powerful when you have faith in that name.

This scripture was referring to an incident in Acts 3.1-9

1  Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2  And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3  who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
4  And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us."
5  So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6  Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you:

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
7  And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8  So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God.
9  And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

Then Peter explained to the crowd what had happened.  He said;

Acts 3:16 (NKJV)
16  And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Notice how Peter had faith in the name of Jesus.

He believed, he did not doubt,  he spoke what he believed, he spoke in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and then in faith, he reaches out and pulls the man up by the hand.

The man wasn’t healed just when Peter said the name of Jesus but he was healed when Peter acted in faith and pulled the man up

That’s when strength entered his ankles and feet.

Faith is believing and acting as if what you believe is true.  Faith in the name of Jesus will cause the power and authority of Jesus over your situation.

You believe, you speak it out, you pray in the name of Jesus, and you act as if what you believe is true.

Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." Mk 9.23

The woman with the issue of blood believed that if she could just touch Jesus’ clothes she would be healed and so that is just what she did and she was.

You have to have faith in that name. And we are commanded to believe in His name.

1 John 3:23 (NKJV)
23  And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

This is not a suggestion.  It is a commandment to believe in the name of Jesus.

Worship

Something else we have to remember is that we are also called to praise the name of Jesus;

I used to love singing the song ; “We sing praises to your name, Oh Lord, praises to your name, Oh Lord, for your name is great and greatly to be praised”

Ron Kenolly had a great song where they just call out the name of Jesus.

There’s a new [4]song from Hillsong called “What a Beautiful Name” that says “what a powerful name it is the name of Jesus Christ my king.”

And of course, we often sing “There’s power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, break every chain, break every chain.”

According to the prophet Malachi, If we don’t praise His name, we are cursed;

Malachi 2:2 (NKJV)
2  If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says the LORD of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. …..

David praised the name of the Lord;

Psalm 8:9 (NKJV)
9  O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

Psalm 9:10 (NKJV)
10  And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

Psalm 18:49 (NKJV)
49  Therefore I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the Gentiles, And sing praises to Your name.

Psalm 29:2 (NKJV)
2  Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Psalm 34:3 (NKJV)
3  Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.

The Lord’s prayer says “Hallowed be thy name”

The writer of Hebrews says

Hebrews 13:15 (NKJV)
15  Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

And Paul said

Ephesians 5:20 (NKJV)
20  giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A read a story[5] of a pastor who had gone away to preach and while he was away, a 3 year old girl in his church was taken very sick having convulsions.  In his absence, the pastor’s wife was called to the child.  They prayed and laid hands on the girl but nothing seem to happen.  Then the pastor’s wife started singing “Praise the Lord, Glory to God! Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  The girl suddenly went quiet and the convulsions stopped.   Later she went back into convulsions so they laid hands on her, anointed her with oil but nothing happened.  Then they started singing the name of Jesus again and the convulsions stopped.  The child was completely healed.

There is such mighty power when we praise the name of Jesus.

A friend of ours in the northern suburbs had a little boy who was extremely ill.  The doctors did not know what was wrong with him and were very worried.  He got worse and worse.  Then his mother picked him up and carrying him around the house singing praises to the name of Jesus.  After a short while he was totally healed.  The doctors still unable to explain what happened.

Whatever we do

Finally, Paul says whatever we do we are to do in His name.

Colossians 3:17-23 (NKJV)
17  And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
18  Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19  Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
20  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
21  Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
22  Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eye service, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.

23  And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

In other words,

·      Wives, submit to your husbands in the name of Jesus

·      Husbands Love your wives in the name of Jesus

·      Children Obey your parents in the name of Jesus

·      Parents love your children in the name of Jesus.

·      Employees Obey your masters in the name of Jesus

·      Bosses look after your staff in the name of Jesus

·      Love your neighbour in the name of Jesus

·      Love one another in the name of Jesus

·      Love your enemy and pray for them in the name of Jesus

·      Do your shopping, your cleaning, your cooking in the name of Jesus

·      Fix the car in the name of Jesus.

·      Mow the lawn in the name of Jesus.

·      Come to church in the name of Jesus.

I like to make it clear just who it is we are praying in the name of.  It’s not just any Jesus but Jesus Christ of Nazareth or Jesus the Son of God, or the Lord Jesus Christ.

As Paul says;

2 Thessalonians 1:12 (NKJV)
12  that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in the whole of creation, in the heavens, on the earth and under the earth. Everyone and everything has to yield to His name.

We are saved in the name of Jesus, we are forgiven in the name of Jesus, we are justified in the name of Jesus, we are healed in the name of Jesus, we are delivered in the name of Jesus, we are to praise the name of Jesus, we are to gather in the name of Jesus and whatever we do we are to do in the name of Jesus.

Jesus has given us the authority to use His name and when we do He stands behind it.

The name of Jesus is above the name of your disease,

·      It is above the name of your sickness.

·      It is above the name of your fears.

·      It is above the name of the sins you keep returning to.

·      It is above the name of your family problems.

·      It is above the name of your financial problems.

·      It is above the name of your marital problems.

·      It is above the name of your work problems.

·      It is above the name of your business problems.

·      It is above the name of ISIS, of terrorism, of war

·      It is above the name of famine, earthquakes, cyclones.

·      It is above the name of persecution and abuse

·      It is above the name of sin.

·      It is above the name of Ice, Cannabis, Cocaine, Heroin.

·      It is above the name of Islam, of Buddha, of New Age, of Aetheism, of Satan, of the antichrist, and of every demon.

So why don’t you all stand up and praise the name of Jesus?

Let’s just call on the name of our saviour.

Shout out the name of Jesus.

Praise His name.

Give thanks to His name.

Worship His name.

Declare His name to be above the name your worries.

Tell those things they have to yield in the name of Jesus, to flee, to go away and never return.

·      Declare the name of Jesus over your marriage,

·      Declare the name of Jesus over your family,

·      Declare the name of Jesus over your work,

·      Declare the name of Jesus over your finances,

·      Declare the name of Jesus over the persecution you are experiencing.

·      Declare the name of Jesus over whatever problems are coming against you.

Put your faith in the name of Jesus, put your trust in the name of Jesus, put your family in the name of Jesus, put your life in the name of Jesus.

As the musicians and singers come up just continue to praise the name of Jesus.
